JACOBS CONFERENCE CENTER

The Lab-on-a-Chip Application Development (LOCAD) Team is pleased to announce its sponsorship of the NASA Microarray Workshop 2007. The meeting will be held at the Jacobs Conference Center on September 27th and 28th, 2007.

Sponsored by the Lab-on-a-Chip Application Development (LOCAD) team, the NASA Microarray Workshop 2007 seeks to bring together many outstanding scientists from government and academic institutions to discuss applications of microarray technologies in solar system exploration. Currently, the LOCAD team is developing an extended model of its Portable Test System (PTS) that is in orbit on the International Space Station, which will combine cutting edge protein microarray technology with a hardware platform tested in microgravity. Building on this and other recent technological advances, the NASA Microarray Workshop 2007 will offer relevant, informative presentations by leaders of various microscale technology fields and discussion forums on the use of microarrays and other molecular techniques in space applications

We hope that you will join us by participating in this unique opportunity to explore the potential of microarrays and other lab-on-a-chip technologies in promoting both space and terrestrial exploration.
